In Sudan, the Sudanese Armed Forces liberated most of Khartoum twin city, Bahri, now making progress in multiple areas of the capital’s neighborhoods.
At the same time, SAF troops have taken RSF stronghold in North Kordofan, Umm Ruwaba.
The complete liberation of Bahri, north of Khartoum is a new victory for the Sudanese Armed Forces. Less than a week after liberating the besieged General Command of the armed forces, the SAF entered the remaining occupied parts of Bahri while the RSF fled to Khartoum.
Today, the eastern neighborhoods of Bahri are still contested, in the Kafouri area. The Rapid Support Forces are still present east of the Blue Nile, mainly along the river, in East Nile, Umm Dawm, Kafouri and along the towns to Rufaa in Gezira state.
Now, the Sudanese Armed Forces of General Burhan will be able to make the junction between the forces of the General Command and the ones of Omdourman around the Presidential Palace.
At the same time, they may be willing to liberate central Khartoum and lift the siege of the Armourd Corps.
In the west of Khartoum city, the SAF has launched new offensive actions in the urban neighbourhoods of Omdourman (the most populated city of Sudan) and in Ombada.
It is too early to know where they attacked, and the area where they pushed back the RSF.
In northern Kordofan, Sudan’s central region, the SAF launched an offensive a week ago from the direction of Kosti and Wad Ashana to liberate Umm Ruwaba, a strategic town before the besieged city of Al Ubaid.
The Rapid Support Forces fled the city today. It is important to note that after losing many troops in the Gezira/Blue Nile states and needing many troops in Khartoum and Al Fashir, the RSF has a manpower shortage, while the SAF are massively recruiting.
The Sudan war is one of the most forgotten conflicts in the world, while being one of the most violent.
